Communion, or Eucharist as it is also known, is about gathering at the Lord’s table where all are welcome to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus. We gather with the community to be renewed in our faith, challenged and encouraged by the Word, and nourished and strengthened by the body and blood of Christ.
Preparation for First Communion
Second Grade Children
We are honored to invite our children to prepare for their First Reconciliation and First Communion as one of the Sacraments of Initiation.
Children entering the 2nd grade may begin the preparation process in the fall of each year. The children are required to attend Sunday morning faith formation classes. Regular mass attendance by the child and his/her family is expected. Parent(s) are required to attend one parent retreat. First Reconciliations are celebrated in March and First Communions are celebrated in May.
